Experience the traditional tour from Húsavík. Our birthplace is often considered as the Whale Watching Capital of Europe. It is a unique adventure at sea – watching the wonders of nature in the beautiful surroundings of Skjálfandi Bay, sheltered by the stunning mountains of Vík. This is where our roots lie, where our ancestors used to live in peace and joy for centuries, living in total harmony with the unpredictable and untamed nature of the North Atlantic.
Gentle Giants is a truly local family run company with more than 160 years of family history in Skjálfandi Bay.

Good to know
- Bring warm and waterproof clothes, footwear, hats and gloves and protective bags for cameras as it can be very cold at sea. Warm safety overalls are included on board and are put on top of other layers
- The tour is approximately 3 hours
- Please check-in at the Gentle Giants Ticket Center latest 40 minutes before departure
- For your safety and comfort, we reserve the right to change schedules, even with short notice, should weather or other conditions change

Cancellation policy
For all bookings of day tours, a minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice, no refund is given.
For all bookings of multi-day and custom private tours, a minimum of 72 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 72 hours' notice, no refund is given*
*Note that in the event the client requests a refund for any reason, Tour Desk reserves the right to charge a 3% administration fee to cover costs incurred.
