The wetsuit will cover your whole body but note that the wetsuit will not protect you entirely from the cold water in Silfra. Yet this is such an amazing experience that you simply must do this. Snorkeling in Silfra is actually snorkeling between two continents; Europe and America. Sounds strange? Well it’s a fact. The snorkeling site is in Silfa, an exotic underwater canyon/fissure, located at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Thingvellir, only about 50 km from Reykjavik. Silfra is a fissure created because of continents’ plates drift apart about 2 cm per year.

Silfra is known to be one of the top dive sites in the world. Silfra is a freshwater fissure where you can see at least 100 meters ahead of you  as the water is so clear. The water is so pristine it feels like flying.
