Víknaslóðir (Trails of the Deserted Inlets) is a network of multi-day hiking trails in the remote north of the Eastfjords, connecting the villages of Borgarfjörður Eystri and Seyðisfjörður through spectacular uninhabited fjords. The full traverse takes 4–5 days and passes through Húsavík, Loðmundarfjörður and Seyðisfjörður, with mountain huts for overnight stays. The trails cross high passes, rugged coastal terrain and some of East Iceland's most dramatic uninhabited landscapes.
