„Vesturhorn, eða Vestra–Horn, heitir fjallið yst milli Hornafjarðar og Papóss, 575 m. Svipmikið tindafjall með háum gabbróhömrum og bröttum skriðum. Austan við meginfjallið er Brunnhorn, 454 m, einstakt fell“ (1). Fjallið er eitt af einkennum sveitarfélagsins Hornafjarðar og þess er hægt að njóta víða að (2).
