Skogafoss Upper Trail

A long staircase beside Skógafoss reaches the upper viewpoint, where walkers can continue upstream along the Skógá river. The route passes numerous additional waterfalls and forms the opening section of the longer Fimmvörðuháls trail. Stairs and paths can be slippery in rain, spray or winter conditions.
