„Mjög fallegur og vel aðgengilegur þrískiptur foss í Þambá, neðan við þjóðveginn, og skemmtilegt umhverfi. Hyldjúpur hylur í litlu gljúfri rétt neðar. Annar foss, Strákafoss, 100 m neðar í ánni. Rétt ofan við Kringil er lítil sveitabæjarvirkjun og pínulítið lón með steyptum vegg sem áin fellur fram yfir, einnig gamalt og nýtt steypt smáhús undir virkjunarbúnað sem setur skemmtilegan svip á umhverfið.“
