Hraunlækur er „yndislegur áningarstaður fyrir göngufólk og náttúruunnendur“ sem eiga leið um svæðið (1). Ytri- og Fremri Hraunlækur falla í Jökulsá. Á svæðinu er gamall, endurgerður gangnamannakofi en upp að honum liggur grófur vegslóði frá Goðdölum (2).
