About Geirsalda
Geirsalda er melalda þar sem hæst ber við veginn á Kili í 672 m y.s. „Heitir hún eftir Geir G. Zoega (1885-1959) vegamálastjóra en hét áður Fjórðungsalda. Þar er hringsjá“ (1). Nærri vatnaskilum á öldunni, er minnisvarði sem Ferðafélag Íslands lét reisa í minningu Geirs árið 1959, en hann var forseti félagsins á árunum 1937-1959. Aldan heitir síðan Geirsalda (2).
