Krýsuvíkurbjarg Sea Bird Cliffs

About Krýsuvíkurbjarg Sea Bird Cliffs

Krýsuvíkurbjarg is a 4 km stretch of sea cliffs on the southern Reykjanes coast that hosts one of Iceland's largest seabird colonies. In summer (May–August), the cliffs are home to thousands of razorbills, guillemots, kittiwakes, fulmars and puffins. The nesting birds are often visible at very close range from the cliff tops. The drive to the cliffs along the southern coast road (Route 427) passes dramatic lava fields and volcanic scenery.
