About Klifbrekkufossar Waterfalls

Klifbrekkufossar is located in the Þórsmörk valley, accessible only by 4x4 vehicle or bus tour. The falls are reached via marked hiking trails from the valley floor. The area is surrounded by birch forests, glaciers, and volcanic peaks. It's a remote and pristine natural environment popular with hikers and photographers. Access to Þórsmörk requires fording rivers, so a 4x4 or tour is essential. The area is only accessible in summer (June–September).

The waterfalls are fed by glacial meltwater from the surrounding mountains. Þórsmörk is one of Iceland's most beautiful valleys, named after the Norse god Thor, and Klifbrekkufossar is one of its hidden gems.
