Húsavík Whale Watching

About Húsavík Whale Watching

Húsavík is Iceland's whale watching capital and one of the best places in Europe to see large whales. The town sits on the shores of Skjálfandi bay, one of Iceland's richest marine feeding grounds, where humpback, minke, blue, fin and sperm whales are regularly seen. Success rates for whale sightings are over 98% in summer. Several companies offer 2–3 hour tours by traditional oak schooner, inflatable speedboat or with a kayak option. Húsavík also featured in the Netflix film 'Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga'.
