Hrunalaug is located off Route 30, about 15 km from Flúðir. The pool is surrounded by bright green moss and sits in a quiet, rural area with views of farmland and distant mountains. The water temperature is around 38–40°C. There are no facilities — visitors must change in their car and bring all rubbish away. The pool is on private land, and overcrowding or disrespectful behavior has led to access restrictions in the past. Visit early in the morning or late evening to avoid crowds. Be respectful, quiet, and leave no trace.
