📖 Story

According to Grettis Saga, the outlaw Grettir the Strong was hiding on Drangey island when he had to swim 7 km to shore in freezing water to fetch fire. He warmed himself in this natural hot pool before swimming back. Today, two geothermal pools sit on the rocky shore with stunning fjord views. The water is hot (40-44°C), the setting wild, and on clear days you can see Drangey island across the water. Basic changing rooms, honesty box for payment (~1,500 ISK).
