About Faxi Waterfall
Faxi is located off Route 35, about 12 km from Gullfoss. There's a parking area, picnic tables, and flat walking paths to the waterfall. The site is accessible year-round and suitable for all ages. In summer, you can walk very close to the falls and feel the spray.
📖 Story
Faxi is one of the quieter stops on the Golden Circle, often overshadowed by Gullfoss. However, its gentle, cascading flow and accessible viewing platforms make it a pleasant, peaceful alternative. There's also a small salmon ladder on the side of the falls, built to help fish migrate upstream.
