Drangajökull Glacier
Drangajökull is Iceland's northernmost glacier and the only glacier outside the main volcanic zone, sitting in the remote northeastern corner of the Westfjords. At 160 km², it's Iceland's fifth-largest glacier and is unique for being cold-based (frozen to the bedrock) rather than geothermal like other Icelandic glaciers.
