On this private day tour, we'll start the day with a visit to Raufarhólshellir, more commonly known as The Lava Tunnel, one of Iceland's longest lava tubes. The formations and colours inside the 5200-year-old lava cave are breathtaking.

Next, we'll visit the Mars-like landscape of Krýsuvík, where you'll marvel at its steam vents and bubbling mud-pots. We then continue to the nearby Gunnuhver geyser and the historic Reykjanesviti lighthouse, each offering unique and stunning views of Iceland’s geothermal activity and coastal beauty.

The true highlight of the day is our visit to the Blue Lagoon. Here, you can wind down in the soothing blue waters after a day of exploration. Included in your premium entry to the Blue Lagoon are their world-renowned silica mud mask, two drinks of your choice at the swim-up bar, and the use of a towel and bathrobe. Warm clothes and waterproof outer layers are important, especially in winter, but it can get chilly at any time of year in Iceland. If you prefer Hidden Iceland to provide thin waterproof outer layers and boots for you, free of charge, get in touch ahead of the tour with rough sizes.

Please note, there is a 2 year old age limit due to minimum ages for the Blue Lagoon. If you have travellers who are younger, please get in touch directly to discuss alternative options.

This tour is categorised as easy but the tour of the lava tunnel does require you to be able to walk on uneven, rocky terrain for around 300 metres, albeit at a slow pace with lots of stops. Ability to walk for a few hundred metres with good mobility of knees and ankles will enhance your enjoyment of the day.
