FlyOver Iceland, which opened in 2019 in the historic harbour area, offers a 20-minute flight simulation over Iceland's most spectacular scenery. Wind, mist and scent effects enhance the sensation of flying low over Þingvellir rift, Dettifoss waterfall, the Westfjords coastline and the Vatnajökull ice cap. The pre-show covers Icelandic history and natural history through engaging animation. It is particularly recommended for families with children who may find conventional museums insufficiently dynamic.
