ストーリー
In a quiet grassy field on the eastern edge of the Snæfellsnes peninsula, two small pools sit side by side, warmed from below and fringed by soft, mineral-rich mud. Reaching Sturlungalaug means turning off the main road onto a bumpy farm track — closing a few gates behind you — until the pools appear behind a low hill, with lava fields and mountains rising in the distance. It's often described as the only wild hot spring on Snæfellsnes, and its two names, Sturlungalaug and Guðmundarlaug, both reach back toward real chapters of Icelandic history, even if neither is documented as belonging to this exact spot. There's little more than the pools themselves here — no signage, no facilities, just water at roughly bathwater temperature and the kind of stillness that comes from being genuinely off the tourist route.
