Our Zipline Experience in Hveragerði

We arrived in Hveragerði on a beautiful day, around half an hour before our scheduled departure. The staff were friendly, upbeat and welcoming from the moment we arrived.

Then it was time to gear up — and this is where our experience split in two. Hekla chose the calmer seated ride, while I went for the faster Superman-style option, flying face-down in a harness designed to support me horizontally.

Getting Ready

We were given different equipment for the two rides. I received a helmet and the special harness for the prone flying position, while Hekla had a seated harness that kept her upright. Before departure, the guides went through the safety procedures and explained the equipment and what to expect.
